Richmond Hill Hindu Temple
Every Thursdays and Saturdays at SVHM, not to be confused with the Richmond Hill Hindu Temple , numerous worshipers gather from across Ontario to attend religious ceremonies happening at Canada’s favorite Hindu Temple. Expect to see a flurry of activity at the Mandir located in Mississauga, near Brampton, on these two days. The temple has numerous intricately carved deities all of which have been imported from India. Each deity is a representation of the Trimurti.

The event culminates Thursday at 7p.m. and 9:00 p.m., with the pouring of holy water over the deities and statues and the constant drone of deep chanting. Most guests who attend the event are dressed in traditional Hindu clothing, such as Saris. Shoe’s must be taken off before entering the main Temple chamber.
